Screening of Anaerobic Germination Rice Genotypes in Nepal
نویسندگان
چکیده
Poor germination has been the main obstacles to widespread adoption of rainfed lowland rice production due saturated state soil, . In order produce types appropriate for direct seeded culture, current experiment was conducted find with anaerobic tolerance. The screening techniques tray method were used assess tolerance 402 different genotypes. Under conditions, genotypes 10 namely, IR 129077:1-1-6-8-B, 129077:1-1-6-9-B, 129077:2-1-16-8-B, 129077:1-1-36-5-B, 129077:1-1-41-7-B, 129077:1-1-46-6-B, 129077:2-1-17-6-B, 129077:1-1-31-5-B, 129077:1-1-39-8-B, 129077:2-1-13-7-B, 129077:2-1-17-7-B and 129077:2-1-28-7-B recorded highest percentages (> 80%). germination, coleoptile length all ranged from 0.50 10.6 cm. best performing chosen genotyping using previously published SSR markers based on results. On QTL analysis, (qAG) present Chromosome number 11 chromosome 12 higher (qCL) longer coleoptile. Int. J. Appl. Sci. Biotechnol. Vol 11(2): 78-84.

Anaerobic conditions improve germination of a gibberellic acid deficient rice.
Dwarf plants are useful in research because multiple plants can be grown in a small area. Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is especially important since its relatively simple genome has recently been sequenced. We are characterizing a gibberellic acid (GA) mutant of rice (japonica cv 'Shiokari,' line N-71) that is extremely dwarf (20 cm tall). Unfortunately, this GA mutation is associated with poor germi...
متن کاملEvaluation of salinity tolerance in rice genotypes
Salinity is considered as one of important physical factors influencing rice (Oryza sativa L.) production. Knowledge of salinity effects on rice seedling growth and yieldcomponents would improve management practices in fields andincrease our understanding of salt tolerance mechanisms in rice. This study was designed to assess the role of Saltol QTL in regards to effects of salinity on plant gro...
متن کاملScreening Method of Lowland Rice Genotypes for Zinc Uptake Efficiency
Zinc deficiency in crop plants has been recognized as a worldwide nutritional constraint. A greenhouse experiment was conducted with the objective of developing a screening technique to evaluate lowland rice genotypes for zinc use efficiency. Ten lowland (Oryza sativa L.) genotypes were tested at low (0 mg Zn kg) and high (10 mg Zn kg) zinc levels applied to an Inceptisol. Genotypes differed si...
